PSG College of Arts and Science (PSGCAS), located in Coimbatore, has commenced its admission process for the academic year 2025-2026 for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs.



Key Dates for Admissions 2025:

  • Online Application Portal Opens: April 3, 2025 (11:00 AM onwards)
  • Last Date for UG Application Registration (TNHSE Board): Third day from the date of publication of 12th results (till 5:00 PM).
  • Last Date for PG Application: April 30, 2025.
  • Rank List Publication (TNHSE Board): Third day from the date of publication of 12th results.
  • UG Counselling for Special Categories (Sports, NCC, Ex-Servicemen, Differently Abled): Fourth day from the publication of 12th TNHSE Board results.
  • UG Counselling for Language, Arts and Science Programs (based on 12th subjects): Fifth day from the publication of 12th TNHSE Board results.
  • Commencement of Admission Counselling for Spot Admission Programmes: First day of publication of 12th results of TNHSE.
  • M.Sc (SS/TCS/DS/CS) Application Closing: May 23, 2025.
  • M.Sc Fashion Design & Merchandising Application Closing: May 19, 2025.
  • B.Sc Applied Science Application Closing: May 15, 2025.
  • B.Sc Computer Systems & Design Application Closing: May 23, 2025.
  • M.Sc Applied Mathematics Application Closing: May 28, 2025.
  • TANCET 2025 Results (for MBA & MCA): On or before April 24, 2025.
  • M.Sc (SS/TCS/DS/CS) Entrance Test: June 4, 2025.
  • M.Sc (SS/TCS/DS/CS) Counselling: June 4 (afternoon) - June 7, 2025.
  • M.Sc Fashion Design & Merchandising Counselling cum Admission: May 23, 2025.
  • B.Sc Applied Science Counselling cum Admission: May 23, 2025.
  • B.Sc Computer Systems & Design Counselling: May 29-30, 2025.
  • M.Sc Applied Mathematics Counselling & Admission: June 2, 2025.
  • PG Counselling Commencement: June 2, 2025.

Application Process:

  • The application process is entirely online through the official website: https://www.psgcas.ac.in/
  • Register using your or your parent's mobile number and email ID. These cannot be changed later.
  • Fill in the application form with all necessary personal, special category (if applicable), and academic details.
  • Select your preferred Aided and Self-financing programs based on your eligibility. You can apply for multiple courses by submitting separate applications for each.
  • Upload scanned copies of required documents, including:
    • Recent passport-size photograph
    • 10th Mark sheet
    • Community Certificate
    • Aadhar Card
    • Special Category Certificate (if applicable)
    • 12th Hall Ticket/11th Marksheet
    • Semester-wise and Consolidated Mark sheet (for PG application)
  • After 1 submission, your application will be verified, and you will be notified if any corrections are needed.  

Eligibility Criteria:

  • UG Programs:
    • Generally, a pass in the 10+2 examination from a recognized board is required.
    • Minimum percentage requirements may vary depending on the specific course. For some B.Sc. programs, relevant science subjects in 10+2 are necessary. For B.Com, having Commerce subjects in Class 12 is usually required. For BCA, Mathematics as a compulsory subject in Class 12 is often needed.
    • Some courses may have specific subject requirements.
  • PG Programs:
    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a UGC-approved institution is generally required.
    • Minimum aggregate marks in the undergraduate degree (often 50% to 55%) may be specified for certain courses.

Selection Process:

  • Admissions to most UG and PG programs are merit-based, based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations (Class 12 for UG and Bachelor's degree for PG).
  • For MSW and MA (Journalism and Mass Communication), admission is based on an entrance examination conducted by PSGCAS.
  • For MCA, admission is based on the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) score.
  • The college prepares a rank list based on the merit of the applicants.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling. Attending the counselling process is mandatory.
  • Final admission is offered based on the merit list, document verification, and fee payment.

Important Points:

  • The application fee varies from ₹240 to ₹1430. SC/SCA/ST candidates may be eligible for application forms without a registration fee.
  • Candidates can apply for both Aided and Self-financing programs in the same application.
  • Ensure you provide your own or your parent's correct mobile number and email ID for communication.

  • Candidates unable to attend the initial counselling session due to valid reasons may be allowed for re-counselling subject to the availability of seats.
